Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 17, 2026
FireBalls is a football app for debates, matchday predictions, trivia and fan posts. It is operated by Koneczone, a business based in Canada ("Koneczone", "we", "us"). This policy explains what information we collect when you use FireBalls, how we use it, who we share it with and the choices you have. Questions or requests: support@koneczone.com.
1. Information we collect
Account information. Your email address. If you sign in with Google, we also receive your name, email address and profile picture link from Google. If you are new to FireBalls, we use that picture as your profile photo until you upload your own or remove it. We never receive your Google password.
Profile information. The username and favourite club you choose, and, if you add them, a profile photo, a short bio, your country and your signature ball design.
Your activity. Debate votes and the arguments you write, matchday predictions, trivia answers, groups you create or join, fans you follow, gift balls you give and receive, duels, the calls you post and how you vote on others' calls, the days you play (to count your streak), and the points you earn.
Fan Zone content. Photos you upload, links you share, captions, comments, reactions and reports you make. Photos, including profile photos, are resized on your device before upload, and this removes hidden photo data such as GPS location.
Notification settings. If you turn on kickoff alerts, your browser gives us a push address and keys for that device so we can send notifications to it. We delete them when you turn alerts off or when your browser tells us they no longer work.
Technical information. A sign-in cookie that keeps you logged in, and standard server logs kept by our hosting providers (such as IP address, browser type, pages requested and time of request).
We do not use advertising or analytics trackers, and we do not collect sensitive information such as payment details, government ID numbers or precise location.
2. How we use your information
- To create your account, sign you in and keep you signed in.
- To run the app: show debates and results, score predictions and trivia, run groups and leaderboards, and display Fan Zone posts.
- To send sign-in emails. We do not send marketing emails.
- To send the notifications you turn on: kickoff reminders, streak reminders, weekly group and Club Wars winners, and activity alerts such as new followers, comments on your posts, @mentions, gifts, duel challenges and results, and settled calls.
- To keep FireBalls safe: review reports, remove content that breaks our Terms, and prevent spam and abuse.
- To fix problems and improve the app.
- To meet legal obligations.
3. What other people can see
FireBalls is a social app. Your username, profile photo, favourite club and club badge, country flag (if you choose to show it), points, rank and stats, the gift balls you have received and who gave them, your bio, who you follow and who follows you, your match predictions once the match has kicked off, your streak, your duel record and results, and the calls you post with how many fans backed or doubted them, the arguments you post on debates (with the side you picked), and your Fan Zone posts, photos and comments are public. Anyone with the link to a photo can view it. When you share a challenge link, people who open it can see which side you picked. Your email address is never shown to other users. A group's name, members and standings can be seen by anyone who has its invite link. Public groups also appear in search, and anyone can join them.
4. Who we share information with
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for targeted advertising. We share it only with service providers that run FireBalls for us:
- Supabase: database, sign-in and photo storage.
- Vercel: website hosting.
- Google: "Sign in with Google" (if you choose it) and delivery of sign-in emails.
- Your browser's push service (for example Google, Apple or Mozilla): delivers notifications you turn on.
We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect people's safety, or as part of a business transfer such as a merger or sale, in which case this policy will continue to apply.
These providers may store and process information in the United States and other countries outside Canada, where it may be accessible to local authorities under those countries' laws.
5. Embedded videos and podcasts
Clips and podcasts in the Fan Zone are hosted by YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, Spotify or Apple Podcasts and shown using their players. When a post containing one of these players is displayed, your browser connects to that service, which may collect information or set cookies under its own privacy policy. Selecting "Watch on …" opens the original on that service.
6. How long we keep information
We keep your information while your account is active. You can delete your Fan Zone posts and your comments at any time. If you ask us to delete your account, we delete your profile and the content linked to it within 30 days, except where we must keep something to meet a legal obligation, resolve a dispute or enforce our Terms. Server logs kept by our hosting providers are deleted on their normal schedule.
7. Your rights and choices
You can ask us to give you access to the personal information we hold about you, correct it, or delete your account and its data. You can withdraw your consent by deleting your account; FireBalls cannot work without an account. To make a request, email support@koneczone.com from the address on your account. We respond within 30 days and may need to confirm your identity.
If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada at priv.gc.ca.
8. California residents
If you live in California, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), as amended by the CPRA, gives you these rights:
- Right to know what personal information we collect, use and disclose, and to get a copy.
- Right to delete personal information we collected from you.
- Right to correct inaccurate personal information.
- Right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined in the CCPA, and we have not done so in the past 12 months.
- Right to limit use of sensitive personal information. We do not collect sensitive personal information.
- Right not to be discriminated against for using any of these rights.
In the past 12 months we have collected these categories of personal information, from you and from your use of the app, for the purposes in section 2, and disclosed them only to the service providers in section 4: identifiers (email address, username, IP address, and a device push address if you turn on notifications); internet or network activity (votes, predictions, posts, follows, duels, calls, activity days and server logs); audio, visual or similar information (photos you upload, including profile photos); and, if you use Google sign-in, your name and profile picture link.
To make a request, email support@koneczone.com with the subject "California privacy request". You may use an authorized agent. We will confirm receipt within 10 business days and respond within 45 days.
9. Children
FireBalls is not for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child under 13 has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.
10. Security
We use encrypted connections (HTTPS), keep the database closed to direct public access, and limit who can access stored data. No online service can be completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
11. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top. If a change materially affects how we use your information, we will tell you in the app before it takes effect.
